Submit Abstract →ICDS 2026 invites researchers, clinicians and allied health professionals from around the world to submit their latest research for presentation at the Congress, taking place in Melbourne, Australia, from 17–20 November 2026.
We welcome submissions spanning the full spectrum of coeliac disease research, health and patient care. Do not miss this final opportunity to share your work with the international coeliac disease community.
Abstracts are being considered for oral and poster presentation formats within the ICDS 2026 program. There will be a small number of single slide, 3-minute thesis presentations available for abstracts that are part of a higher research degree (e.g. PhD) whereby the candidate is attending ICDS 2026 in person.
Presentation Formats
Oral Presentations
A limited number of oral presentation slots are available for late-breaking abstracts. Successful applicants will present their work to the full congress audience.
Poster Presentations
The primary format for late-breaking submissions. Posters will be displayed throughout the symposium and provide an excellent opportunity for discussion and networking.
3-Minute Thesis
A small number of single-slide, 3-minute thesis presentations are available for abstracts forming part of a higher research degree (e.g. PhD), where the candidate is attending ICDS 2026 in person.

A range of awards will be presented during the Symposium, recognising excellence across oral presentations, poster presentations, and 3-Minute Thesis presentations. Awards will be offered across clinical, scientific, and student presentation categories.

Means of Submission - Online
By clicking on the submit link above, you will be taken to a web page where you can cut and paste your abstract in several simple steps. The benefits of this system are many but include:
Allowing you to preview your abstract and make modifications to your satisfaction.
Ensuring you know your lodgement is completed as you will receive an immediate email confirmation
Ensuring accurate indexing of all authors in the abstract book
Ensuring consistent presentation of all abstracts in the proceedings (overarching formatting is imposed).

It is recommended to use Google Chrome to submit abstracts.
Check:
Is your abstract text less than 300 words – it will not allow you to paste larger submissions. The word count does NOT include your title, author list or cited references
Do you have your abstract ready? You need to be able to cut and paste it onto the submission system.
Do you have an image in your abstract? This conference is NOT accepting images.
Do you have a table in your abstract? If so, this can be inserted as an image during the submission process.

Firstly, you will be asked to acknowledge and understand that for your abstract to be accepted you must be a registered and fully paid delegate. You will also be asked if you consent to your abstract being published.
You will then be asked to provide some keywords to assist in categorisation of your abstract.
Depending on the conference, you may be asked to supply extra information. For example, “Would you like to be considered for a poster or oral presentation award?”
Next, you will able to cut and paste or type the title of your abstract in.
The next screen will ask you to input the authors, organisations and indicate the presenting author by ticking the box.
After that, you will be able type or cut and paste your abstract text in. Please ensure the abstract is no more than the above mentioned word limit. (Does not include title, author list or cited references)
Finally you will be asked to view your abstract to check you have entered it correctly. When satisfied, you will be able to finalise your abstract submission and return to your dashboard.

Upon completion of your abstract submission and clicking ‘finalise submission’ you will be emailed a receipt confirming your abstract submission has been received. if you do not receive this email, please check your spam filter and that you entered your email address in correctly during the submission process.

Yes, should you wish to make changes to your abstract after you have submitted it, please log into your online registration dashboard as a returning delegate.
Click the button “manage” for the conference you would like to edit the abstract for. Under the abstract heading you will be able to view, edit or submit a new abstract. Do NOT resubmit the same abstract.

Notification of programming decisions will come from the Conference Organisers via email around early September 2026 after the Program Committee has finished reviewing all submissions. The notification will include specific presentation instructions.

The final ICDS 2026 program will be published to this website once presentations have been accepted and allocated. It will also be viewable in the mobile app during the Conference, accessible to ICDS 2026 delegates.
